Editing a property

The edit page is where a listing is completed after creation. It repeats the whole creation form, and adds an image gallery underneath.
You get here by clicking a property card in the list, by clicking Edit on the card, or automatically after creating a property.

Fields#

The form is identical to the creation form — same blocks, same required fields, same validation, same custom fields. See Creating a property for the full field list.
Two differences:
The save button reads Save instead of Create Property.
After saving you return to the property list.
On success you see "Property updated successfully". On failure, "Failed to update property".
If the property does not exist you see "Property Not Found", the line "The property you're looking for doesn't exist or has been removed.", and a Back to Properties button.

Image gallery#

The gallery block sits below the form and is headed "Image Gallery — Upload and manage property photos". It has two parts: the existing images, and the upload area.

Existing images#

Images appear as a grid of square tiles. Each tile carries:
A number in the top right corner showing its position in the order
A Primary badge in the top left, on the primary image only
Three actions revealed on hover
ActionResult
View full size (eye icon)Opens the image full screen. Click anywhere or the close button to exit
Set as primary (star icon)Makes this the primary image. Not shown on the image that is already primary
Delete image (bin icon)Asks "Are you sure you want to delete this image?" and removes it
The count of current images is shown next to the "Current Images" heading.

Ordering#

Drag a tile to a new position to reorder. The order is saved when you release the tile. The first image in the order is the one used as the listing thumbnail in the property list and on the public website.
If saving the order fails you see "Failed to save image order. Please try again."
Other failures: "Failed to delete image. Please try again." and "Failed to set primary image. Please try again."

Uploading#

The upload area accepts files by drag and drop, or by clicking Click to upload.
RuleValue
Formats acceptedJPG / JPEG, PNG, WebP
Maximum size per file10 MB
Maximum files per upload5
Each file shows its name and a progress bar while uploading, then a green tick or a red cross. The list clears itself a couple of seconds after a successful upload, and the page reloads so the new images appear in the gallery.
Rejection messages name the file that caused them:
MessageCause
<file>: Invalid file type. Only JPEG, PNG, and WebP allowed.Unsupported format
<file>: File size exceeds 10MB limit.File too large
You can only upload up to 5 images at once.More than five files selected
Upload failedThe upload was rejected by the server
Every uploaded image is stored in three sizes — full size, medium and thumbnail — and the right one is used automatically depending on where the image appears. You do not need to prepare separate versions.

Image guidance shown on the page#

The page repeats three tips under the gallery:
Use high resolution images (minimum 1200x800px)
The first image will be the primary one
Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP (max 10MB each)
Note
Deleting an image removes it permanently. There is no undo and no bin to restore it from.

Documents#

Documents are managed on a separate page, reached from the Documents button on the property card. See Property documents.
